Chelsea Jeffery


Chelsea is a Dallasite through and through, growing up in Coppell, TX and graduating Magna Cum Laude from SMU. Chelsea taught High School Math at Dallas Can for two years as part of Teach for America and joined the Commit team in 2014 where she has led work in Early Math, Early Literacy, and now Early Childhood.

Kimberly Manns

Managing Director

Kim grew up in Plano and returned to Dallas to join Commit. Most recently, Kim served as the Program Director for the Baltimore Campaign for Grade Level Reading. Kim has a B.S. from Georgetown University and a Masters in Public Policy from Johns Hopkins University.

Libby McCabe

Senior Director of Advocacy & Governance

Prior to joining Commit, Libby gained extensive experience practicing law in New York City where she had a legal and consulting practice. She graduated magna cum laude from both Duke University and Harvard Law School and currently serves as a director of the Perot Museum in Dallas.

Dominique McCain


Dominique began her career as a classroom teacher in Aldine ISD and quickly became a teacher leader and instructional coach. In 2014, Dominique accepted an opportunity to support the efforts of Dallas ISD through its Teacher Preparation Program. After acknowledging the need for a strong start for both teachers and students, Dominique continued making a significant impact in the district by serving as the Director of Instructional Strategy for the Dallas ISD Early Learning Department.

Michael Wood

Advocacy Associate

Michael has never been far from Dallas. After growing up in Arlington, Michael studied Sociology at TCU in Fort Worth and served as an intern for the Dallas Regional Chamber and EMD. Now, Michael has returned full-time to Early Matters Dallas and is currently pursuing his Masters in Public Policy at UT Dallas.
